The role:
This is a fantastic, entry level product opportunity for a fund management professional to move to and develop their career in product management. Open to Sydney or Melbourne based candidates.
This organisation is keen to hire a Product Analyst to join their high-performing Investment Product team. The role will support Product team in the day to day product management of the product range and to provide support to the Senior Product Manager in driving and implementing BAU and project activity.
This will include elements of the Product lifecycle (e.g. Fund Review, Development, Build/Set Up, Launches, Terminations), supporting enterprise-wide projects, product governance, Committee and Board approvals and reporting.
Other activities include day to day investment product technical support and associated activities, process and policy documentation, product analytics and reviews, market/competitor analytics and insights.
Key responsibilities;
- Providing support to the Senior Product Manager(s) on varied product development initiatives, ongoing product management and projects as required.
- Product project implementation, including project analysis & support, impact assessment and project delivery roll out.
- Project manage completion of product reviews/audits (e.g. Product Specifications, Fit for Purpose reviews, post implementation reviews, annual operating checks (including pricing) with a view to improve customer outcomes, governance, uncover issues and reduce the impact of errors.
- Providing technical Product SME, analysis and recommendations with an appreciation of MIS product structures, tax, pricing, operational and regulatory impact.
- Ensuring product issue and remediation activities are fully managed and addressed swiftly.
- Understand and assist with impact assessment and product/client implementation of technical and regulatory changes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in funds management, knowledge and understanding of the domestic fund management industry and investment products
- Technical understanding of asset classes (equities or fixed income or private assets or multi assets, etc)
- Preferred expereince: investment operations or middle office or customer service or reserach or sales support
- Experience implementing continuous process improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Results orientated with a strong focus on continuous self-improvement and learning.
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills - ability to establish close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients and knowledge of key stakeholder domains from front office through to back office (ie tax, legal, ops)
- Experience identifying and fixing issues and resolving problems
