Our client is undergoing a major transformation to strengthen the organisations service delivery platforms, culture, operating models and commercial sustainability to deliver the organisations long-term strategy.
The Role
This is a very exciting opportunity to join part of a relatively new commercial Product team in the role of Senior Product Manager. Your main role is to take ownership of one of the flagship digital products and lead it into its next phase of growth and also some manage some other key initiatives in this portfolio. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure that the services developed provide strong identified value and are services that deliver a commercial outcome that supports the businesses financial plans. You will also be responsible for achieving product and financial targets for the segments and products that you manage.
Key Accountabilities:
- Utilise product development management methodologies to develop new services and products through to execution and launch.
- Work with customers and analyse market segments to determine products that can be built to satisfy market requirements.
- Undertake competitor, interstate and international analysis to identify and support product thinking, ongoing product lifecycle and innovation.
- Develop robust business cases that are supported by customer/industry engagement and analytics of data.
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop, go to market strategies incorporating both sales and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain a forecast of financial performance to budget and when required develop plans to catch any emerging financial gaps.
- Contribute towards creating a values-driven, safe employment environment that attracts, engages and retains skilled employees
To be successful for the role you will have:
- At least 5 years' experience managing data driven digital products as a Product Manager.
- At least 5 years of evidenced experience of hitting financial targets.
- Strong network of commercial contacts
- Previous experience of owning or at least managing a P&L
- Must be commercially aware, unnderstand the 'why"
- Solid understanding of Product management Methodology
- Experience of Developing Go to Market strategies
- Understanding and experience of Financial Performance of products managed
- Ability to work with customers and analyse market segments to determine products that can be built to satisfy market requirements
